2041. Old Brooklyn. Somebody is trying to silence outspoken performance artist Kee-lin O’Reilly. She thinks it’s Malcolm Towers, CEO of a wildly popular media empire, which connects every citizen, sensor, and device on Earth, the Moon, and Mars. For help, Kee-lin seeks out a recluse physicist, Sanders Kincaid, who developed Malcolm’s infinite-bandwidth network, then abandoned the project eight years ago after a catastrophic accident.
Having more in common than they realize, Sanders and Kee-lin join forces. Helping them are Kee-lin’s fans, a corporate insider, and two teenage hacker-anarchists. What starts as a fight for freedom from Malcolm’s abusive censorship soon becomes a race to stop seemingly random incidents of disintegration which threaten to spread everywhere his network reaches.
